Bio

Moira Lazarus is an independent singer-songwriter from south east London who has been performing and releasing melodic, harmony-rich acoustic music online for the last few years.

Moira was trained in classical music from the age of eight, playing violin and piano, which she still uses in her work today. However, it was when she picked up the guitar at the age of 12, out of a passionate desire to play the songs she loved (Beatles/Bowie), that the tone was set for the future. She has been honing her singing, writing and playing skills ever since. Her vocals have often been compared to Sandy Denny/Joni Mitchell, with lyrics that  are heartfelt and incisive, often reflecting her  love of poetry.

Plans for a new EP with a band are in the works, which will be an exciting musical progression from the current solo work.
